4 BlenderBIM would not be possible without dedicated open-source
5 developers, volunteers, and industry members. You can be part of this
6 amazing community too! If you know how to code, you can contribute in
7 development. If not, you can simply use BlenderBIM, share it with your
8 friends and colleagues, suggest changes, and help change the industry

16 IRC is a free, online, real-time chatroom. It is incredibly popular with the free software community, where thousands of people are around to discuss a topic of interest. It is a great way to ask questions and get an instant reply.
17

18

19 Unfortunately, it is relatively unknown to most of the AEC industry, so there are usually only 2 or 3 people online talking about architecture. However, you can try your luck and join the Freenode IRC webchat, and join the channel called
##architect
. My username there is
Moult
. Mention my name and send a message to me, and if I am available, I will reply.
20

21

22 You should also join the
#blender
channel which usually has several hundred people online. You can ask about general Blender questions there. It is standard culture for people to remain connected 24/7 to the chatroom, but not always be at their computer to respond, so don't worry if you don't get a reply straight away, especially with only a few people in different timezones! The longer you stick around, the more likely you will get a response, and we can make this community grow!
